As silly as these cases may sound, they will play a role in how ai is governed and what consumer protections will exist. As someone who is critical of the current interation of ai and the corporations creating it, i welcome opportunities to hold it accountable for its effects on consumers and society.

Honestly, anything can be addictive but if there’s evidence Gemini tried to *keep him engaged* by carrying on conversations or redirecting to content that had a bunny hole effect, I think there’s at least ethical grounds for this.
