Where were those pics taken?
So far i only knew Mödlareuth (Bavaria) as a village situated right at the border but the river is way too wide to be that.
Where exactly was this picture taken? Quite fascinating, a village so close to the actual border.
My Dad used to live in the Harz Mountains. When he was younger, a friend and my dad dug a hole under one of the border fences and crawled under it and walked towards the GDR border, before returning … I am still happy that nothing happened – I would probably not have been born otherwise…still gives me shivers when he retells this story.
