      They should look to their ultra-orthodox community that is exempt from their conscription laws or stop starting new wars and get serious about resolving the current ones.

      I remember reading about this a few months ago.

      The wording is a bit of an exaggeration (though there’s a purpose for that). A big part of his job as the Chief of Staff is drumming up long-term political + policy support for the armed forces (recruiting, funding, resources, etc), and this type of language pushes lawmakers to consider things more seriously.

      Currently, the IDF isn’t anywhere near organizational collapse, even with current manpower shortages. The biggest constraints are gonna be politics + homefront tolerance for conflicts.

      So this is why republicans are pushing for US citizens who serve in the Israeli army to have the same benefits as those enlisted with the US…

      Bibi has done lot of wrong choices in the war. Biggest is the line toward Russia and rejected Ukraine help

      IDF is very right to be afraid as they are already forced thin and Hezbollah is getting drone capability that, despite four years of Russian getting slaughtered by then, Israel has not prepared for.

      If you think it’s gonna be bad soon, just wait until enemy drone operators starts to be trained and efficient.

      Where’s the US citizens ready to go defend Israel? Mike Huckabee? Does he have any kids? Fetterman? Maybe he has kids. How about Ted Cruz? I’m sure he has kids.

      What’s the Israeli saying, “1/3 of the country works, 1/3 of the country fights, and 1/3 of the country goes to real school. The only problem is that it’s the same 1/3”?

      Since the Haredim are by far the most war loving members of society, and the core community that has kept Bibi in power for so long (and out of jail), maybe they should try fighting if they love the idea of it so much!
