      I was going to see if the usage of miles helped narrow it down, but apparently we switched to km in 1974.

      Edit: Gladesville Bridge opened in 1964 and appears to be marked incomplete here. I’d say this was probably late 50s or early 60s.

    2. The third map shows the new Gladesville Bridge under construction, but the Fig Tree Bridge open. Fig Tree bridge opened in September 1963, while the Gladesville Bridge opened in October 1964, which would suggest that this was a 1964 edition of the map.

      Quite funny in a way to see the freight line still being notable enough to be included. Obviously wasn’t converted to light rail for another couple of decades, but still.

      Also odd not seeing the runways at the airport jutting into Botany Bay

      The map with Newcastle and Wollongong on it has the expressway at Peat’s Ridge (which was opened in 1964) but not Stockton Bridge in Newcastle (which was opened in 1971).
