He is having it painted like a swimming pool, he is probably intending to chemically treat the water like a swimming pool, and I bet he wants filters and pumps like a swimming pool.

So why paint it blue? Why not simply high-down to Home Depot and get a shit-load of the 12″ square mirrors that some people glue on their ceilings so they can watch themselves, well… you know.

Google tells me that’s about 261,360 square feet.
261,300 is about 21,775 dozen
A 12-pack of 12 x 12 mirror tiles at Home Depot is $105. Retail.
21,775 doz x $105 = only about $2.3M. Retail.
So: more that the $1.8M; but darn it: truly reflective — not some lame pool blue.
Or — even better: just get gobs of contact cement and aluminum foil (make sure to glue down the AL foil shiny-side up) (I’ll bet the DOGE boys never thought of THAT for saving money)
