      So, Elon Musk will be arrested for skipping court once he re-enters America, right? I am *fairly sure* this is some form of contempt of court.

      Pardon my ignorance, but, can we, as citizens, do something about this if he is not arrested for contempt of court after he is back? This is a genuine question.

      One can only hope that when he gets off the plane coming back that he’s arrested the second he steps on the jet bridge. Also, fleeing to another country is a great reason for a judge to deny a bond for his release. Why he wasn’t asked to surrender his passport is another red flag.

      I’m an attorney. Any judge I appear in front of would hold such a “litigant” in contempt for disobeying an order and a 10 day sentence in jail. As you probably know, justice is not fair.

      While he could be held in contempt, I would find it even funnier if the OpenAI lawyers called him to testify and the judge dismissed Musk’s lawsuit when he didn’t show. Musk won’t even notice the contempt fine, but dismissing the suit will force him to start again against lawyers who already know his allegations.

      Musk is being given the red carpet treatment and will come home to no consequences at all.

      The American justice system is not in any way a fair system.

      And when they “do” it comes in the form a fine that is the equivalent of 3 pennies to him.

      Good ol’ Trump promised him a pardon for all his DOGE wrongdoings, I guess he can just lump this charge in with the rest of them, to be wiped away.
