We bought the dunnes cooked chicken. My partner was in bits for days, thought she just picked up a bug.

Probably a good idea to avoid all chicken for the next few weeks…

Had chicken tonight for dinner. Was a bit worried there until I saw the use by date differs from the one I bought.

Probably the best thing about that tesco app is that I got the warning by email for some chicken I had bought and it gave the batch number I needed to worry about and everything. Otherwise I’d probably have eaten it by now.

Anyone know if the fire pit salt and chilli chicken burgers are in the clear? 😬

Why am I only seeing this after the chicken burger….
Tbh I don’t think it’s one of the products listed and being of the more… Ultra processed variety (shh I don’t eat like this usually) with all the salt, preservatives and bla bla… I think I’m probably safe.
But if I have chronic issues tomorrow… I’ll know why.

Opps, I ate one of those chickens yesterday according to the list. Feel fine thankfully.

Funnily enough, I wrote my undergraduate thesis on why the cases of campylobacter and salmonella found in supermarket chicken had dropped off over a span of 10 years, and it turned out it was reduction in testing by the FSAI. This was a couple of years ago, something must have changed but it’s good to see it.

Can someone explain why this is an issue if the chicken is actually cooked? I assumed all chicken carried some sort of salmonella and cooking it killed it.

Seriously we have to stop eating chickens. Look up franken chickens. Watch the documentary called dominion. Stop and think about what we are consuming. 97% of the biomass on the earth is humans and what we’ve domesticated to eat

Bought chicken thighs from the butcher at Moldova, and cooked them to minimum of 75 degree (most were well above that). Should be safe?

I’ve dunnes chicken kieves in the freezer that match had a name and date with one of the ones listed, but the batch code is different.
But I’m not taking chances since it seems they keep updating this list daily.
