    1. I wonder if that is that what he told the kids that were raped under his care? Sorry, that’s life.

I like how he immediately denied having just said that and accused the interviewer of putting words in his mouth when she quoted that gaffe back to him.

“That’s life” – Gym Jordan when you tell him the university doctor is sexually abusing athletes

    4. Prestigious-Pea-862 on

That is a “Let them eat cake” statement and that isn’t taken well these days.

    5. “That’s the way it goes.” people are ALWAYS extremely well-off or privileged in the situation they’re talking about.

    6. >COLLINS: But if someone was paying $2.98 a gallon before the war, and now they’re paying $4.53, saying ‘that’s life’ might not make them feel better

      >JIM JORDAN: Those are your words, not mine

      >COLLINS: You said that just now. I quoted you.

There should be 1000 reporters playing the clip and asking him about this until he admits he lied.

What an arrogant dismissive piece of shit. “That’s life” “I don’t think about the household costs of Americans” hey MAGA, remember this when you fill your trucks up..

I wonder if that is what he told the victims of Richard Strauss at OSU.

    9. “thats life” said the group who went out of their way to make your life worse for no reason.

    10. That’s tracks, pretty sure that’s what he said to the kids about the broomstick.

Reminds of another brave Republican- Johnny Ernst – who replied “Oh c’mon, we’re all going to die anyway.” in response to constituents worried they’re going to die due to Medicaid/ Medicare cuts.

The amount of bullshit Clinton got for her “America’s Already Great” retort, and this won’t even be remembered tomorrow.

    13. “Come now, you rich people, weep and wail over the miseries that are coming on you. Your wealth has rotted and your clothes are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have stored up treasure in the last days. Look! The pay that you withheld from the workers who mowed your fields cries out, and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of Armies. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and have indulged yourselves. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous, who does not resist you.”

What a f-cking hypocrite. He was scorching the Biden administration for economic issues that were largely a consequences of a global pandemic.

In this case, there’s a direct causal link between Trump’s policies, decision making, and Americans’ financial problems.

And it’s not just high gas prices either…

Trump’s war is wreaking a devastating toll on Americans and he couldn’t care less.

Trump and his allies claim that he’s ushering in the “Golden Age” of America.

No, he’s ushering in the greatest redistribution of wealth in a generation, a second “gilded age.”

Sadly, his supporters don’t understand the difference because it would require a basic knowledge of US history.

While Americans are being squeezed financially from every side, Trump is using taxpayer money for personal vanity projects and is suing his own government for a hefty taxpayer funded payout for damages to his fragile ego.

The inflation rate has just climbed to 3.8%—the highest in three years.

Prices are now rising considerably faster than wages.

Trump is responsible for the worst global energy crisis in modern history, and these world wide trade disruptions and production setbacks will also cause the price of food and other goods and services to rise on top of already skyrocketing gas prices.

Trump’s war also comes with a massive pricetag for the American taxpayer.

And to make matters worse, the Trump administration is looking to secure nearly $1.5 TRILLION in military/defense spending, which they plan to offset by cutting funding for domestic programs.

Americans are facing financial difficulties because of Trump’s failed policies at home too.

Like his tariff and trade policies which have passed costs down to consumers in the form of a regressive tax that is disproportionately raising costs for low income, working class, and poor Americans and families.

Policies that have led to higher prices all around while causing trade wars and hurting domestic industries.

Trump promised to “bring manufacturing back” to America, but the US has lost nearly 100,000 manufacturing jobs since Trump returned to office.

Under Biden, the US saw four straight years of job growth, but in 2025 alone, there were five total months of job losses.

Trump has also weakened our global alliances and has strained our relationships with trading partners.

China is filling the void left by the US and is becoming a more reliable economic ally for other countries who are now turning to them for trade.

Meanwhile, America’s trade deficit is only growing.

Take note also that Trump’s policies were exploding the debt and deficit before this war even started.

His big beautiful bill extended huge tax breaks and incentives for the rich and corporations at the expense of millions of Americans access to healthcare, food assistance, and the social safety net.

Studies show that without Trump’s tariffs, the inflation rate would have returned to pre-pandemic levels.

Income and wealth disparities are MOUNTING. Trump is doing fuck all to address affordability issues and rampant economic inequality.

In fact, income inequality has just reached a 60-year peak.

Trump’s policies have also allowed for the top 1% of stockholders to own more assets than the bottom 99%.

So whenever you here Trump brag about the value of the stockmarket, he’s really just acknowledging that the rich are getting richer while most Americans are struggling to make basic ends meet.

The US dollar is also weakening against other currencies and goodsm

Trump is making housing less affordable for first time buyers and renters in favor of serving the interests of the richest homeowners and investors.

He’s also accepting lavish gifts, bribes, investments and donations from foreign governments, CEOs and corporate executives, pro-Trump benefactors, right-wing tech oligarchs, and overseas monarchs who are all seeking political and economic favors in return.

Trump’s sons are pursuing lucrative business deals through Daddy’s influence. Hunter Biden’s cash flow was insignificant in comparison to Don Jr’s and Eric’s.

Trump is creating an authoritarian kleptocracy by concentrating economic power and resources into the hands of the few while the rest of us plebs suffer under the financial tyranny of his regime.

      I’m so sick of MAGA.

At least try to pretend to not be hypocrites instead of being so blatant about it. They literally just never shut up about gas prices for Biden’s entire term and at one point left childish stickers all over the pumps, which for some reason they don’t think are so cute and funny anymore now that it’s their God-King’s fault.

Jim Jordan can go fuck himself. Cut the wage of any of these congressmen to minimum wage and see just how fucking quickly they change their tune.

    17. Leather_Reply_4437 on

The fact that he can say this so nonchalantly proves they see themselves as untouchable.

    18. The fact that republicans win elections is amazing, they can’t scream “ I fucking hate you!” In the voters face any louder and they still win

    19. padizzledonk on

This is the year where we fianlly get to see if the Republican Voter really is as fucking stupid as we all think they are or whether theyre redeemable in any way

And i say “finally” because up until this year there has always been some credible spin or the ability to snowball people etc, or you really had to be paying close attention to political things to catch their mask slipping or really read between the lines/know the context to really catch it but this year is the year where Republicans have been so blatantly and cartoonishly evil and dispassionate and openly contemptuous that there is no missing it….Trump literally just said that he doesnt think about americans financial situation or care about it

If Republicans keep voting for these people we are lost tbh…..It will never get more openly contemptuous than it is right now, it simply cant, because it is blatantly, openly contemptuous right now.

I guess Trump could turn directly to camera and say “Fuck all’yall i got my bag already get fucked”….But he pretty much just did that a few days ago

    20. This is how you can tell they’re not counting on voters to win elections anymore.

They literally have to remind people they work for Israel at every turn don’t they

Quick note: Someone who says “That’s life” or “It is what it is” is someone who has given up on trying to change things for the better. Vote carefully.

    27. crazyreddit929 on

In 2022 he said “Washington ‘elites’ don’t understand high gas prices kill the economy.” I guess the only difference is the current president. These people should not be allowed to stay in office. Damn hypocrites.
