A rediscovery was made at the house that was the scene of the murder of Çağla Tuğaltay. The day of the murder was recreated and the sound, viewpoint and witness statements in the apartment were discussed.
No trace could be found of the murderer or murderers of Çağla Tuğaltay, who was killed in her home in Şişli, Istanbul, at the age of 15 and recorded as an unsolved murder.
Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, a discovery was made in the building and its surroundings where the incident took place 26 years later.
Çağla’s mother, Gülnur Tuğaltay, said, “A very detailed investigation was carried out, they took 7 evidence bags from the shanty at the back. Whether it was a document or whatever, it could be suspicious. Luminon inspection was carried out, they looked at the adjacent apartments, they examined whether a sound could be heard, down to the sound of the key. They determined where the blood traces were. Of course, this excited and touched us very much.” he said.
THE DAY OF THE EVENT WAS REVISED STEP BY STEP
Çağla’s route of coming home, whether the voices inside the apartment could be heard, and whether witness statements were technically possible were investigated.
THE FILE HAS BEEN OPENED AGAIN
The DNA sample found on Çağla Tuğaltay has been compared with that of 80 people so far, but no results were obtained.
The file was reopened with the initiative of the unsolved crimes investigation department of the Ministry of Justice. The evidence was re-examined and it was decided to take DNA samples from a total of 12 more people who were found to have entered the apartment on the day of the murder.
Forensic Medicine Specialist Prof. Dr. Hakan Kar, "Even though years have passed, we still have the chance to obtain DNA from the remaining fibers, whether they are relocated, buried elsewhere, or even if they are burned.
New forensic studies show that DNA from body fluids contaminated with clothes can be detected even if they are washed 2-3 times in the washing machine." he said.
FOUR GRAVES WILL BE OPENED
The graves of 4 people who may have been the perpetrators of Tuğaltay and who died of natural causes after the murder will also be opened. It was announced that the two people whose DNA samples would be taken lived in the apartment with Çağla, and the other two were from the same neighborhood.

kesik bacak cinayetleri dosyasinida acsinlar 8 insan olmus katili yok ortada
