I asked that, because I am interested how people from Lithuania and other eurozone countries think about this ,because Bulgaria was unable to join for very long time the eurozone and its the first so cyrilic country in the eurozone so its unique.

It will become expensive
Depends. How do you guys feel about supoort for Ukraine?
I say “welcome”
The more the merrier.
It’s cool, congrats! Why is the alphabet relevant?
Brace yourselves for the price gouging :|.
Great? All sides win.
Great place for economic investments if you have any money – the prices will be raising for the next ~10 years
First thing – prices will go up.
Wages will follow after soon.
I am more excited for the Schengen Area, expect visitors soon! 🥰
I personally dont think about this particular event, though from a tourist perspective it seems more on a negative side, because everything will become more expensive now in Bulgarija.
It’s going to be easier to understand prices when I go there, that’s the main benefit for me lol.
I see the last rate of lev to euro was 2:1. Prepare for everything to cost the same amount of euros as it was in levs.
Good for them I guess
I had the opportunity to visit this country in the fall of 2025 and was surprised by the prices in a good way. after a while everything will become more expensive there – it’s a fact… smart Poles, they still guard their currency carefully!
Nice! I thought they were already in. Good for them!
I might be unpopular for saying this, but I think people should be a bit more cautious before celebrating. Joining the Eurozone is not some magic solution. If the underlying economic or corruption issues are still there, changing currency won’t suddenly fix them. Lithuania benefited overall, sure, but every country’s situation is different. I can understand why some Bulgarians are excited, but also why others are skeptical.
Apes together strong
My first thought was “I gotta gen some bulgarian coins now”
Don’t know what other people think, but this is obviously a good thing. Euro brings financial stability vital for easier access to credit, which then can be used to develop the economy.
Now I won’t have to do math when in Bulgaria to understand prices, I guess? Bulgaria met economic criteria, if Bulgaria is happy, rest of Eurozone is happy
Enjoy the price hike
If world economy will not go too hard into recession, they will have nice injections of EU money and various projects to make infrastructure and life better. Like we have. Of course their local prices probably rise a little, because of currency conversion and traders who only interested in profit. But with rising prices, revenue must also rise.
good for you.
I really don’t mind. You can come visit
It definitely made me want to visit Bulgaria even more haha
Btw I love your alphabet, same with the Greek one, it’s so cool when countries have something unique like that about them!
Mostly I’m just angry how far-right populists lied about what will happen by joining the Eurozone, and seemingly no one remembers it. People were saying something like “now everyone’s savings will disappear overnight…” and that literally just didn’t happen, and no one pointed that out.
That said, welcome to the Eurozone!
