    1. To be fair let’s not pretend Pelosi isn’t doing it too. Trump is, by far, the biggest thief and piece of garbage to ever set foot in the office. But don’t give the other shitty people in the government an out just because he’s so much worse than they are.

Let me make this clear with an edit for the slow witted in here.

No one is “b-b-b-but Pelosi!!!!” Pelosi was SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the post and they inferred with the wording that she wasn’t doing what she was accused of, which she most certainly has.

I’m a Dem and I hate Trump with a burning passion and long for the day he’s nothing but a rotting corpse and we never have to see his spray painted face or listen to that annoying ass voice of his ever again. What I’m saying is that we can’t get complacent and ignore everything else that is going on with all the other crooked people ruining our country just because the orange turd is an even more horrible person than they are.

    2. They are not silent…they are blatantly doing it….but as long as his Scotus(more like Scrotum)and his MAGA allies in Congress are getting their piece of the pie….everything is just fine

i’m sure you can get all of the facts about his stock trades on Faux noise

    4. Worse because it looks like he’s actively going out and promoting the companies after buying the stock not just trading on inside information on future developments.

    5. JFC. I guess I just didnt’ think about this one. I‘m sort of casually aware of his blatant corruption around crypto and the IRS and insider deals but not his trading on direct market manipulation. He’s the most corrupt president in history by a significant margin.

Serious question: why isn’t Pelosi in jail?

Trump went after Powell just for mildly annoying him. Pelosi impeached him twice.

    7. I agree in principle, but shit like this rings hollow to the average normie when a not insignificant amount of Democrats, including Pelosi, have been joining Republicans in opposing insider trader and corruption reform bills while making themselves millionaires dozens of times over.

It becomes an incredibly strained argument to make that Trump’s hubris and openness about all this is somehow beyond the pale when 85% of congress buying up shares ahead of big announcements they have insider knowledge of and then defending that practice also happens daily.

The average normie just again associates it as all sides and goes back to whatever default they had prior.

This is complete BS. If the average person was caught making even a cent using insider information they would be prosecuted. EXPLAIN WHY ANYONE SHOULD PAY TAXES OR STUDENT LOANS while our government is robbing us blind? I’ll be waiting.

    9. Accusing Pelosi was more than projection to smear his enemy, it was done as a preemptive justification. The sheep have not only bought it, they lean into the logic. I’ve had plenty of low density thinkers respond to his laundry list of crimes and inhumanity with whataboutisms, mostly disproven, not that it matters. For them, you did it so I can do it too. Even if you didn’t really do it.

    10. MAGA always accused Pelosi while completely ignoring the Republicans that were significantly more active at the same activity. Hell, there are even a few Dems that have higher rates of trading than Pelosi, and those were largely ignored.

They never cared if their side did it, they only wanted a talking point to use against Dems; and their most prominent Congress-critter.

Pelosi was/is corrupt, but Trump’s operating at a far bigger scale of corruption and beyond using insider knowledge, he’s conducting foreign policy with a primary interest in moving markets so he can exploit them.

It’s ok if he does it. He’s their guy. Rules are for the other people. You know like those child rape rules and stuff

    13. Tank-Factory187 on

Obviously Trump is worse, but idk why we’re implying that Pelosi didn’t do insider trading.

    14. Of course his cultists are silent. FAUX Angertainment does not bring that up, so they both don’t hear about it and don’t know how to feel about it.

    15. lightning_twice on

      Sounds right

They don’t try to hide their corruption, because they are neither held accountable nor to the same standards we hold everyone else to

All MAGA wants is to hurt others

    16. kaebavunire on

The hypocrisy is what gets me the most, they spent years screaming about conflicts of interest and now complete radio silence.

    17. Hey remember during Trump’s SOTU rant where he said he’s going to pass a bill targetting insider trading while looking over at the Dems, and the Republicans cheered like mad.

But the Dems actually cheered harder for it. I could see one of them actually saying “Why are you looking at me?” while the cameras instantly snapped to them, in the hopes of getting an awkward shuffle or indignant gasp instead of the “Fuckin DO IT” response they gave.

Where is that legislation right now, I wonder? Congress lack the will? An executive order maybe? I guess Trump’s too busy AI tweeting, oh well. Maybe have the SCOTUS make some shit up, whole cloth, since they’re in to that? Still nothing? One might start to think it was another Epstein Files-esque accusation/projection…

    18. Don’t get me wrong, Trump’s a corrupt piece of shit. But pre-Trump, we had a standard that the *President* didn’t get to actively manage personal assets while in office. Congress/SCotUS have just normalized the inherent corruption a lot fucking longer.

    19. BeefistPrime on

Pelosi did it too. It’s important to note that very often they make false accusations and then do it themselves, but in this case they made real accusations and then did it themselves. it’s still a blatant double standard, but it makes it sound like Pelosi is innocent and she is not
