At this point I cannot believe the Tories didn’t want to be decimated in order to retire to their comfy roles in the Lords or reap their rewards from various government deals over the years.

I mean, the entire administration has had the air of everyone being on the take for years, hardly surprising is it?

Craig Williams MP needs to be arrested too then.
Otherwise it will show that MPs have a different set of rules.

I still find it weird that prop bets using inside information are illegal here. Couldn’t be lowering record profits by bookies, could we?

Remember folks, it’s only legal if the bookies pay someone for inside info. Not for you to win money on

I know folk will say “is that it, didn’t that guy last week do the same” but both cases are gross misconduct. What else have they been passing on for their own personal gain?
What’s the difference between this and leaking a story to the press? Or a foreign power?

Well I understand why they had to do it, but I feel most would agree this falls into the category of “know its a bad idea, but can’t say I wouldn’t be tempted to do it myself if given the oppertunity.”
So I guess we’ll just have to see how it shakes out for this guy.
