friends,
Cyprus always “gives” 12 points to the “motherland” so, this is the second-best result for Israel.
Greece “gave” 5 points to Israel, (& same vice-versa).
this partnership/alliance is strong, and may prevail.
ignore the clowns. (our side has its fair share of them).

Have to agree with Boy George (never thought Iโd say that) when countries donโt boycott earlier Eurovision host countries with dreadful human rights records and oppression of minorities like Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, & Serbia. But do boycott Israel. Itโs not about human rights, itโs about anti-Semitism as Israel is held to a different standard.
Israel’s voting coup is nothing new. You only need about 500 people voting 20 times to secure a 12 pointer.

Israel needs to be banned immediately. Participating while blowing up schools full of children, invading multiple countries and stealing land, entering multiple songs filled with propaganda, and as if that wasn’t enough the Israeli government helps to rig the competition and cheat. Countries where Israel is 1st, 2nd, 3rd most voted the songs don’t even get streams online. How can their entry be the most popular but no one in the country is listening to it?

Why are you all so riled up against Israel participating? You don’t like it, we get it, but others don’t have to share your views.
I gave 10 points to Israel, great song

Now we need to compare this map with the top 10 listened to songs on platforms like Spotify in those countries

The sheer contrast between the jury votes and the public televote is always the most fascinating part of looking at these eurovision maps. it really shows how disconnected the “experts” are from the general demographic.

Eurovision must become strictly European, with Israel excluded of course.

So it surely must be organized voting groups. Or a whole lot of advertising in communities etc.
Saying that, I saw my first Eurovision ad for an act on the London underground, for Malta.

Hasn’t it been implied multiple times that eurovision voting is rigged, and it often mirrors and supports EU political views and policies?

In Eurovision you can still vote 10 times for the same country.
Meaning people piling votes on one country easily outcompetes other people spreading votes around.

Israel marketing. We still hate IDF and Israel for what they are doing in Palestine.

Now let’s overlay that with advertising spending by Israel compelling people to vote for them.

People can talk all they want about the voting for Israel as a positive. Last year there was blatant anti Irish Israel based efforts because of our politics. That is the kind of stuff that needs looking at.
But of course this isn’t about the songs , its national pride and politics. For me Russia and Israel can participate once they end their wars.

Lithuania added a new law around a year ago requireing all sim and e-sim card to be verified and tied to a real person/identification document, including even the instant sims. So the fact that Lithuania gave zero votes in my eyes adds heavily to the suspicion of Izrael manipulating votes.

People are not necessarily voting FOR Israel but AGAINST Palestinian supporters, many of whom have frankly gotten more insufferable as time goes on. Obviously my sympathies to Gaza but when Palestinian supporters are actively trying to elect politicians [based on their support of Gaza](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GOq19UcWwAA_vKI.jpg) while their constituencies crumble, theres going to be alot of built up resentment from people who literally have nothing to do with nor can do anything about the war and just want to get on with their lives.
