lol. I can’t wait for every facebook person to stay on facebook and leave reddit

    2. Ahh, the Reddit killer from Meta. Like Threads was supposed to be the Twitter killer from Meta

Are they telling me there is a chance for the worst parts of Reddit to leave and go prostitute themselves to a new platform from Zuck? That sounds like good news.

    4. Wait, you’re saying the people that actually use Facebook may stop using Reddit? Gods that sounds like the best news!

Wow… That’s something nobody asked for. It’s gonna be as amazing as the metaverse no doubt.

Fuck Meta, and soon, fuck Reddit too because it changed dramatically since its origins.

    7. Reddit’s downfall isn’t directly related to a FB app. It is related to their own mismanagement.

    8. Because reddit lost the focus. Not saying meta has it, but reddit sold out to overlords and stock prices instead of having a good site and focused on the users.

      – Any business that focuses on stock price more than consumers, product, and employees is doomed to fail. It’s only a matter of time.

It’s almost like the Reddit user base has extremely similar values and is a microcosm of the internet, doesn’t reflect what investors deal with day to day, and we are willing to work around any garbage they try to implement to monetize the platform.

Good. They have turned the site into a shittier version of Instagram with personalized feeds and the removal of r/all

Shit is full of bots, more than half the comments and posts are just hidden Ads. If it weren’t for a couple of subteddits that are still alive, I would have left the site a while ago.

The battle to reinvent NNTP continues. Innovation at its best. Maybe Elon will buy Reddit and really bury it.

We need a new Reddit. Something run and moderated by the users. Who’s got this?

    13. They just axed 50% of their global ops team, that site is going to be more a cesspool than Twitter.

      Meta is trash, delete Facebook

    14. Reddit is anonymous. I’m assuming Forum will not be. That alone is gonna be a deal breaker for anyone with sense.

    15. Man, I wish we could someday understand the real reason why making universally hated choices for the direction of a service causes people to stop liking it.

    16. I’m genuinely hoping for a Reddit clone, but it can’t be from Zuckerberg or Musk.

    17. Folk are ripe to screw it to reddit, but no one is going over to a meta product to do it

Facebook doesn’t have porn subs. They got no chance until they change their rules lol

There really is a culture difference between the platforms. It is a noticeable difference everytime one of the other places has an exodus and they come here.

From Instagram: There is usually an influx of people confused about being downvoted everywhere because they are used to the game of getting followers and self promotion.

From Twitter: soooo much of the  “holier than thou” tone in comments. Every issue becomes a moral high ground.

From facebook: a lot of vacuous comments like “love this” or emoji-only replies.

So the market thinks I’m gonna leave Reddit for Facebook, when I categorically dumped every FB/Meta product years ago? Man the market really is drunk.

Who the fuck replaces Reddit with Facebook? It’s like replacing your spaghetti brain with a boiled potato.

    22. Facebook is full of boomers and right wing christo-fascists. No one who matters is going to leave Reddit for that.
