How come Argentina, Uruguay and Chile are so positive when the rest not so much? Is it related to colonialism or is it more about modern politics? Either way, w Argentina, Uruguay and Chile

I’ll never understand how someone cares about who loves and marries who. 😒

Almost a direct correlation with how developed the country is. Strange, isn’t it?

    4. Isn’t same sex marriage legal in a lot of South America? How did they achieve that with so little support.

OP, please use sequential colorbars for data that can only be positive. Thanks

The color gradient on this map is actually pretty readable. it’s wild seeing just how stark the contrast is between the southern cone and the rest of the continent tbh.

this map is old, Brazil sits in a 52%, while not great, it’s still much better and shows despite having a bunch of right wing nutjobs lying about it, truth still arrives.

    9. Outside of the western world and Latin America, most of the world is anti-LGBT, from all of the Muslim world, almost all of Africa, most of China and Russia are like that, I always forget this since I always browse reddit

    10. What a surprise, libertarian countries let people live their lives as they see fit, while authoritarian (socialist)
countries in America want to enforce their belief system on everyone else?

    11. There’s little lgbt support in some places, should probably get invaded because in today’s age that warrants wars of extermination.

Looking at Israel and supporters saying “Lgbt have no rights in Gaza” as if that excuses the genocide.

    12. The sum of same sex marriage support and importance of religion is generally around or above 100%. Where it’s over 100% there must be a significant number of people who are religious and pro-gay marriage. The outlier here is Ecuador, which has a significant number of non-religious people who don’t support gay marriage.

    13. damn that’s really high, I always assumed Latin America was more conservative than Europe
