    1. Remember that show “The Good Place”? When the emotionless A.I. was programmed with an arbitrary self defense of begging for its life if you wanted to kill it?

    2. Not one of the richest. Second richest.  And until he fixes that we all must suffer

    3. OilInternational2566 on

Elon Musk and Bezos could be regarded as saints. Modern messiahs. They could help fix a lot of the world’s problems with the billions they have and STILL be billionaires.

But nope. They don’t even think that way. They just want to accumulate more $$$.

That’s how much of a douche they are.

    4. People *are* vilifying the rich — with good fucking reason.

At least 120 years ago, American oligarchs used their money to fund hospitals, libraries and universities. Today they buy Twitter to platform Nazis and buy megayachts.

Billionaires are inherently immoral. As someone said, when you reach $1 billion in net worth, the rest of your money should be taxed at 100 percent, and you get a certificate that says, “Congratulations, you won capitalism.”

He can easily change the lives of soooo many people (not just random people…people who help make him rich) without feeling an ounce of discomfort. Without sacrificing so much as a fingernail clipping. Just a number on a spreadsheet that is so high it is meaningless to comprehend. A number he wouldn’t be able to tell you if you held a gun to his head. Plus the goodwill would be invaluable. But he won’t.

It’s the job of government to regulate business. The business of business is business.

    7. > Loves to make a fat trade

      > Look at all the money he’s made

      > He cannot even count it all

      > Congratulations Jeff

      > You had it all, but you wanted more

Stop vilifying the people who are actively destroying America and the world through Their policies guys, cmon why your so mean

    9. Fiveplates1974 on

He seems to genuinely feel that he doesn’t have enough. An utterly bizarre man.

    10. Hoarding this much money in and of itself is a terrible thing given the massive income inequality so many of these vermin create through their businesses. Some do some charitable acts but it’s never enough and doesn’t eclipse the misery they’ve helped to create.

    11. No_big_whoop on

You’re never going to talk them down from their high towers. You have to tear it down against their will

Companies with large amounts of employees on government assistance are, themselves, really the ones getting that assistance. They reduce their payroll by having the government bring their employees up to a living wage.

Estimates say that almost half of all Amazon employees are on some form of supplemental income assistance for food, housing, or medical care. This indicates that they’re failing the bare minimum capitalist responsibility to their employees – pay them enough to survive and come back tomorrow.

Years upon years of raises that don’t keep up with inflation will do that. You are literally paying your people *less* every year even as they gain skill and experience. More and more, the government needs to step in a fill that gap your greed is creating.

    13. oh no, next you’ll tell me Cruella de Vil doesn’t see any problem with pup pelts as clothing fabric

It’s too late for him. His ex wife is a way better human being than he will ever be. I’m glad she’s giving away all his money to charity and causes that he seems allergic to. 🤧

I don’t know why the uber rich don’t combine their business ventures with their philanthropy. Who better to help than the people who are working for you? Now I understand he needs to return shareholder value, but he can also demand that they do it ethically.

In my personal life, one of my ways to give back to society has always been to over tip because this way I know my money is going directly to working people who are deserving. If I had a company, especially a behemoth company, I would do this on a huge scale.

    16. If you’re worth $400 billion none of your employees should be struggling. I’m not gonna even say I’m against someone being a billionaire, but if you are then none of your employees should be making minimum wage, they should all be able to afford a comfortable life. If they’re not able to do that then you shouldn’t have a billion dollars.

    17. Emergency_Year5074 on

Unrelated but it looks like he’s getting a bit chunky. Guess those genes aren’t as superior as you thought huh?

    18. His type of thinking is why the French Revolution happened in 1789 and the French invented the guillotine

    19. You really have to deeply delude yourself to be able to live guilt free as a billionaire.

    20. Yea, but he’s like, a fake billionaire. A *really* wealthy person would flaunt his wealth by showing how much he can afford to pay his employees and elevate *their* lifestyles and *still* have gobs of money. This guy’s a phony shyster.

    21. Plans like that is evidence of a cold heart and no respect for his fellow human beings.

    22. I see people like Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg, etc. in the same way I see Smaug from Tolkiens Hobbit. Their insatiable greed drives every aspect of their lives. There’s no such thing as enough for these creeps. They are all villains.

Come on guys, Jeffie just needs a hug. My mom dying of cancer because Bezzie doesn’t want to fully fund her healthcare is totally to good guy here.

    24. sherespondedwith on

There are no ethical billionaires. The sooner people start rallying around this very simple point, the better.

AOC said it best: *No one “earns” a billion dollars.*

The rich are rich because they stole the wealth of others’ labor, period.

    26. floorshitter69 on

The crazy thing is, he could easily build a few hospitals and we’d probably give him a pass for all the bad shit. And it wouldn’t scratch his net worth.

    27. The Federal & State Governments should place a tax surcharge on any corporation who’s employees need public assistance

    28. drivebybodypeirce on

I would agree that people are vilifying the rich but I would argue that those people are Bezos.

    29. I knew this guy was a villain when he was worth a billion and still drove a beige Camry.

This was easily tested and measurable decades ago.

    30. Why does he look so… different? He looks jacked up but not really…I can’t tell…

    31. yay4chardonnay on

And your wife definitely thinks of her exes when she has to bang your ugly ass.

    32. p1mplem0usse on

To be fair that’s only short term damage and not the long term plan. Just until he can replace the workers with robots.

    33. If the media wasn’t owned by guys like this the headlines would read “Super villain tries to endear himself to the victims of his crimes”

    34. ViciousKnids on

Jeff, your warehouse near me thought it a better idea to have ambulances on standby to cart away workers collapsing from heat stroke than install fans…
