      While it’s awful they were treated like this I’m not sure why they’re surprised tbh. Israel has done this to every flotilla, will continue to do it, and there’s no way these people didn’t know this was likely to happen, or that Israel treats prisoners brutally.

      It’s revealing and concerning that Pierre Poilierre has not uttered a word about this incident , and neither have any of the pro Israel advocacy groups in Canada. Even the Prime Minister of Israel condemned Ben Gvir for his on camera treatment of the flotilla activists.

      At some point you’d expect politicians to put the partisanship aside and advocate on behalf of Canadians but that doesn’t seem to be the case here with the conservative party and Canadian Israeli aligned groups. Some of there loudest cheerleaders in the media have actually been critical of the government for putting out statements in support of Canadians.
