Yeah, it is all good, and no one is against the crackdown on illegal workers or whatever, but can we also give the same effort to more pressing issues as well… or is this the only thing suddenly worth going all-in on?
That will just harm and probably destroy many small agriculture and construction companies
This is an excuse to monitor documented immigrants, as well as citizens.
This is definitely going to curb illegal work, but it also makes me a bit worried about the side effects. If these people lose their livelihood overnight, isn’t there a high chance they’ll end up getting involved in much worse, high-level crimes just to get by? Instead of solving the issue, it might just push them from low-level illegal work into more dangerous criminal networks.
