According to intelligence data shared by American and European partners, Moscow is setting up a high-intensity attack involving various weaponry, including the possible deployment of intermediate-range Oreshnik ballistic missiles.
This follows a devastating Russian strike just over a week ago on May 14, when a cruise missile hit a nine-story apartment building in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, killing 24 people, including three children, and injuring 48, forcing emergency teams to spend more than a day searching for victims under the collapsed rubble.
Both Ukrainian authorities and U.S. officials have strongly urged residents to take air-raid alerts seriously, remain highly vigilant, and immediately seek shelter tonight.

Russia is so weak and this clearly shows they are running out of options. I don’t think there will be another victory parade in red square next year.

The syphilitic gnome in the Kremlin should be aware that committing war crimes of an even greater magnitude will only serve to firm the resolve of both Ukraine and her allies. Anything catastrophic could lead to more direct NATO involvement.
Medvedev shrieks about “red lines” – it’s time Russia understood that they can cross red lines as well.

I don’t want to downplay the situation for Ukrainians. However, Oreshnik — what a ridiculous name — has been falling all over the place in the past. It is a russian Potemkin village, not a real strategic threat.
But this is where we need to say clearly that these desperate russian actions are nothing more than the kicking of a dying horse. No Oreshnik will bring Ukraine down. russia has no way to win — not even with a nuclear attack.
We will be grateful to Ukraine for the rest of our lives for ridding us of this russian cancer.

Ukraine should hit Moscow more often, harder, with all that it has. It’s obvious that Moscow is the only city that could change this war if it starts feeling the consequences.

Russia can only produce up to a handful of Oreshnik per year, the # of operational units is presently at 3-4.
Employing these for a general mass attack against Kyiv is wasting a scarce strategic resource, this reeks of desperation.
The system is a downscaled RS-26 medium-range ballistic missile designed to carry multiple nuclear payloads, which means speed was emphasized over precision, so its doubtful whether this can be employed in a precision point attack.

Putin needs to stop this war before all his refineries are destroyed and before their Siberian pipelines are frozen. He is destroying what could have been a rich, great country. Instead of (unsuccessfully) stealing other people’s land, they should be focusing on delivering basic services to their own people. It’s insane to fight your friends the Europeans when you have a billion Chinese on the other side of you just waiting to take your land and resources after you have depleted yourself in a stupid war. Did you notice how the wise Chinese pretty much never engage in war? Even the superpower US has lost every single war since WWII, at a cost of some $10 Trillion! There are no winners in war. The allies won WWII but most of Europe was reduced to rubble in the process, and most of the people who started the war ended up shot or hung.

At least they re honest with the Oreshnik. They say potentially. Meaning they ll try to launch the thing but don’t know yet if it ll work given its poor track record. Stay safe out there.
