Considering the previous pattern of Oreshnik use, can we infer that a US embassy alert for an air attack in Kyiv means there’s a warning been given by the Russians to the US for a launch?

Interesting how the red lines shift after victory day.

Ah the eternal ‘victim’ Russia launching ballistic missiles against civilians

    4. It resembles the desperate attempts of the Nazis at the end of the war with the V2 rockets.

    5. Sounds like it’s going to get way worse for Ukraine.

Down vote all you want but it doesn’t change the fact that Ukraine is purposefully escalating the war to bring Europe into this directly and Russia has no problem obliging them

You get what you ask for I guess

One Oreshnik missile cost 30 million dollars to produce. For that money Russia could build 600 advanced shaheed drones.

Russia launched the missile on Dnipro. There were no fatalities.

In short: the missile, though terrifying perhaps, is an extremely inefficient weapon. We should encourage Russia to build more.

    7. Still can’t believe other countries refuse to get involved. Russia would fold easily if any NATO country helped bomb them

They also brought Onyx hypersonic missiles from occupied Crimea to Kursk; those are also intended for Kyiv…

Then it’s time to bring the war to the Kremlin itself. Slava Ukraini!

    10. Oreshnik is a poor weapon for this purpose. It is designed to deliver nukes where accuracy is not as important and it is very expensive and limited in quantity. Without nukes it’s primary purpose would be as a terror/propaganda weapon rather then a tactical or strategic one.
Russia could fire every Oreshnik at Kyiv and if they were not nuclear armed it would make little difference to the physical war effort.
Oreshnik is designed to scare the people supplying Ukraine and getting them to stop doing so. That is the most favorable outcome for Russia now. They still would not conquer Ukraine, but they would be able to negotiate a highly favorable end to the war and rearm for their next move.

    11. Can we fucking do this or not…?!
I need to either file my taxes or i go drinking

    12. Russia is slowly running out of options, hopefully they don’t start using nuclear ones.

we have our own “epstein files” in Ukraine, so, if in US it’s ufo disclosure manoeuvre, so in Ukraine we have this hit parade of different info-wars-style threats: starting from “Belarusians are preparing to invade”, and latest is “oreshnik missile is going to hit somewhere in Kyiiv”. What a clown.

    14. I remember when the main news stories weren’t about war . We have to stop the violence:-(

    15. Realistically it will be easily shot down by advanced Patriot and NASAMS air defence supplied by NATO countries.

      Confirmed.

Attack started at 0100 with missiles, drones next, then more missiles.

      Cruise missile just flew over.

Not sure when the IRBM came in.
