Japan sex survey: 38-40% of both women and men aged 18-24 say they don’t experience orgasm (“don’t feel anything at all”) during sexual activity. These rates lower for men with age, but continue to increase for women

Huh… have they been selectively breeding for anorgasmia, or is this a poorly worded question, or are they somehow misrepresenting their experiences… it’s an extremely weird result (though not the orgasm gap; that’s pretty universal, sadly).

Anecdotally, I have never had a partner in Japan who didn’t feel anything, so I’m not sure what the results actually suggest.

I think as someone who does watch a lot of porn – taking a break for a few days usually sorts it out. Take a weekend holiday and you’ll be too busy to fap. Come back on Mondays and you’ll be webbing it up like Spider-Man I promise.

One of the biggest problems with a lot of jinsei sodan type content in the media (and especially on the internet) is there is growing impression that people should know how to please other people interpersonally, romantically, and sexually. But it is a fact that a lot of people haven’t a clue how to please themselves, don’t have any particular preferences for how they get on with others and don’t put any efforts into what makes them feel good. Trying to please others with the information in relationship advice media is often like reading the rules of baseball and then entering a basketball tournament.

    5. The fact that about half of males in every age group report having orgasms only sometimes, or not at all, during sex blows my mind.

Low risk low return right across the board and unfortunately it includes intimacy too.
