I ordered an id card reader from the Transcend online store Intop.lv. Sent to me by Dni Electronico. Transcend is a Taiwanese company, Dni Electronico is a Chinese company. I wrote that the card reader they sent is not Transcend. I was told that I had received the correct item. I ordered an id card reader from the Transcend online store Tet.lv. I had thought that a state-owned company would not engage in such fraud. No, they also sent me Dni Electronico. I spent Saturday returning these items to the sellers. Transcend id card readers can still be found on the site saljini.lv, although it is now clear that there are no such readers in Latvia. I can’t understand what is really happening in Latvia when people cheat so shamelessly and fearlessly. And why are Latvian residents so persistently trying to smear Chinese id card readers? Shouldn’t safety come first in this case?

Half a year ago, Balticom offered a very favorable contract. But when I saw that its employee was trying to install a Huawei device in my apartment, I immediately said goodbye to them.

This video goes into detail about devices made in China. An almost rhetorical question arises: why is this threat not seen in Latvia? I recently posted here video about security issues with Chinese routers, but there was no information that the US had already banned the sale of these routers by law because they posed a threat to national security. Does anyone have any doubts why Latvian officials are so blind and deaf in this matter? Are they so busy with airBaltic that they simply don’t have time to pay attention to safety issues?
