      I’m still waiting for the trickle down effect of electricity prices coming down.

    2. This price reduction is only for those on the DMO which means that it applies to less than 10% of customers.

      Lets see if leads to retailers looking after the other 90% of us before celebrating too much.

      As the build out of renewable projects continues, the price should keep going down long term. One factor of the current oil crisis is that it speeds up the adoption of renewables. 

      As we are less oil dependent than we were during the 1970s oil crisis, the impact of the Iran War is somewhat less pronounced than it might have been were we still heavily dependent on oil for transport and industry. Hopefully, this crisis will drive more funding of research and development for electrification of trucking, farming, mining and flying.
