Does anybody lose sight of the fact that this is a person, with a life and a family, just trying to live like the rest of us, that has been targeted by the full weight of the United States government, demonizing him and putting every single resource into deporting him.

Garcia has a valid withholding of removal order, no criminal record, and a U.S. citizen wife and kids. Yet ICE has tried to deport him to El Salvador, then tried to keep him imprisoned there, then tried to jail him on trumped-up criminal charges, and is now trying to deport him to Uganda or other third-party nations just to avoid admitting they violated a judicial order. When DHS openly releases statements saying a resident ‘is not going to remain in our country’ despite multiple active federal injunctions telling them to stand down, we are looking at a straight-up constitutional crisis
