It’s a perpetual cycle.
When enough time passes after a revolution, rich people think, well okay last time was bad, but *this* time *I* can do it, *I* will rule the peasants.
And honestly they often do get a couple decades or a lifetime out of it if they’re able to con people into voting them in.
History is full of extreme inequality, and the people with everything continuing to be unsatisfied no matter how much power they accumulate, and how many people they oppress.
