Bibi, this is the third time this has happened in the past two years. The second being not even past half a year within this year.
This is exactly the kind of escalation that shows how outdated these power plays are. The Global South is tired of being stuck in the middle while old powers and their proxies turn every corner into a battlefield. The world’s multipolar now, these tactics aren’t winning hearts or futures.
Bibi isn’t a fool. He knows the current strategy isn’t working but he persists because the goal isn’t to destroy Hezbollah. The goal is to keep the far-right energized while creating a rally around the flag effect in the other voters so he can stay in power and stay out of prison.
