I’m going to be sad to see him go, we need voices like his around the table even more at a time when economic and popular forces are pushing against climate action
But from a realpolitik perspective, and this does not bring me joy to say, this probably helps the LPC electorally

Not really surprising. I’m no fan of Guilbeault but he definitely has a strong point of view on matters and Carney’s government is moving in the opposite direction of that.
I think Canadians by and large align much more with Carney’s worldview than Guilbeault’s, so I don’t expect much fallout from this even in Quebec, but he did seem increasingly left in the cold and the coalition got too large.
Wouldn’t surprise me if he eventually found his way to the NDP but may also just be a malcontent independent for the remainder of his term.

Will be glad to see the back of him.
Environmentally I am left of Carney, but I have never liked Guilbeault, And didn’t feel he was a voice that could make moderates take notice of the things that they could care about for a better climate plan.

Good riddance. He feels left out now that he cannot influence the PM with is blind green initiatives that cost Canadians nothing but more money.
