    1. I am not Georgian myself, but “Greece” in Georgian is something like “land of the wise men” or something like that. So I guess that speaks for itself

Greeks are annoying, they’ll reply even when not asked for their opinion.

    3. Very positive, but you (Greeks) could do more to protect Constantinople and everything would be better.

I really like Greece. After all, it was the home of Socrates, and it has an incredibly rich culture. The food is excellent, the people are beautiful, and the nature is wonderful. It is also one of the oldest centers of Christianity. I don’t know if this should be considered a downside, but Greeks can be a bit disorganized and hyperactive. Overall, it’s an amazing country.

I would say neutral, they are deep allies with Armenia whom I don’t like but they have same hatred for Turkey so I guess enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Either way I heard good things about Greece from people who I know traveled there

religion wise it’s something to be thankful that they saved some east from catholic christianity and rome. but Georgia thrived very hard to resist vanishing into byzantine culture, created alphabet and everything, also as far as I know they tried to claim Georgia as much as easterners and northerners did but they couldn’t succeed so all good. Georgia was a bridge between two worlds, very cool and important place to be. And of course there was IVth crusade of roman arrogance that drastically changed a flow of everything else, Constantinople fell shortly after and Georgia turned into dead end surrounded by rivals from which it can not really recover till this day.

I think Greece is nice country with interesting culture and monuments, also for tourists is nice and interesting to see everything. And also we’re historical neighbors with us Georgians and Georgia , when there was Byzantine civilization where’s now is Turkey.

Modern Greece is mainly perceived as a relatively affordable, though decent vacation destination, therefore popular. In 2000-2010s it was seen as a host of many Georgian emigrant, especially women. Some people also relate with or at least remember Greeks living in Georgia, such as in seaside towns.

However, 70 years of total closure during soviet occupation and emigration of ethnic Greeks really cut the last direct cultural ties between us. While people interested in history or religion would tell you about thousands of years interconnection and especially Greek influence on Georgian culture which is still tangible, nowadays, direct ties are I would say virtually non-existent and general public perceives Greece just as a country good for visiting and their knowledge about Greeks mostly encompasses the fact that they are also orthodox, that’s it. So, attitude is positive, though also very superficial and naive, which is a shame I believe as I think we have so many things in common to base our much fruitful, deep and interesting relationship on.

Greece, along with Georgia, will reclaim our lands and celebrate it in the Orthodox Hagia Sophia Cathedral.

As a Georgian, I’ve always felt a connection to Greece. Different language, different country, but a very familiar spirit — strong family values, hospitality, traditions, great food, and a love for life. Whenever I meet Greeks, they feel surprisingly close to us culturally. Nothing but respect and admiration for Greece. 🇬🇷🇬🇪
