Did they actually have control of these territories de facto, or was it just on paper? I ask that because there are a lot of wildly different biomes in this hypothetical country. You have the chaco, amazon rainforest, high-altitude Andes, Atacama desert. It’s hard for a small nation to militarily control all of that.
