I remembered the scene from Family Guy where Peter flies in a helicopter to a deserted island with an awesome toilet so he can spend some time in the WC completely alone.

    2. Weirdly, I was just reading about this a few days ago. It’s one of a few “castaway depots” that are maintained on the subantartic by New Zealand to help people survive if they end up on them via lifeboats or drifting ashore due to mechanical failures until they can be rescued. They check in on them every few months.

    3. It would be closer to the International Space Station if it was directly above it than the next terrestrial building. Neat.

    4. I hate to be that guy, but there’s a building closer to Antipodes if you go north-east to the Pitt Island.

Not saying that the building in Antipodes is not the most isolated building still.

    5. There are, in fact, two buildings in the photo. One has a corrugated roof and the other is green. They can be more easily seen in the wikimedia photo. I think that the fact there are two buildings right next to each other makes either of them ineligible for the title of “most isolated building” because each has a building ten feet away from it.
