Грустно это всё, сколько жизней там потеряно.

yeah but just wait until the *real* russian army comes with the good equipment!

    3. What maper are you using? The Russians has been fighting inside kramatorsk for quite some months now.

Edit: Nvm I,m dumb af. Thought about konstantinyvka… Sorry.

Map is from russian sources and a little bit exaggerated, but in general relativity ok.

The sheer scale of the change over just two years is sobering. Looking at these lines really highlights how stagnant that entire front has become despite the massive amount of resources poured into it.

    6. The saddest part is that I can’t see any end to this irrational and brutal war. Neither side has the upper hand and neither seems to be willing to negotiate peace. Ukraine cannot forfeit their land to the invaders while they can still fight to take it back, and Russia will not back down as that – according to their narrative – will mean abandoning their own people. Is still seems that the price for peace is much higher than of war because human lives don’t matter…
I really wish I am wrong.

And you still call it conflict. Bro it’s a serious war, it is almost longer than Soviet-German war

    8. The map was probably created for propaganda purposes, since it was drawn using Russian sources, where significantly more territory is shown as “captured.” Even so, according to these figures, the progress is minimal. May was the first month since 2023 in which the Russians lost territory, despite a record number of assaults for the entire period of the war.

I believe Ukraine have pretty much cut off Crimea logistically as well recently, so hopefully that will help.

Who knows what’s going to happen with Belarus and the recent idea of making Ukriane a NATO Enhanced Partner or whatever they are talking about.

Don’t really see how it ends at the moment.

    10. all this truly insane level of lives lost, was it worth?? … for both sides, but for ukr more so tbh…

Yet somehow we’re supposed to believe that Russia will attack NATO, invade Poland within 5 years. They’ve advanced 65km (at best) in 2 years against used NATO resources and now more and more drones.

If Russia can’t defeat Ukraine then they pose no threat (beyond nuclear) to Europe. The entire Russian male fighting population would be dead before the reach the Elbe if we just look at how bad they’re doing in Ukraine.

So if Xi gets mad at Kim and invades NK, you gonna send them troops right? It’s an invasion ya know

funny thing is russia lost ground at the north border. absolutely pointless in all regards

    14. FistmyBump1 on

That’s all the Russia has managed to take in 2 years? They have so much left to take even just in Donbass and Zaporizhia…

2020 has been a lost decade for the Russia.

This map oversetimates russian advances, especially in Pokrovsk’e (not Pokrovsk). Russians use tiny groups of infiltration troops to plant flags behind the frontline, just to get drones to death. What a waste of human life.

    16. Considering that these publicly accessible maps aren’t 100 % accurate and that there’s a big line of no man’s land in between it’s safe to say that Russia made borderline zero progress

    17. FalardeauDeNazareth on

I can’t believe we’re living through this, allowing Russia this useless bloodbath. Have we not learned?

    18. Relative-Dog-6012 on

Colors too confusing. I need those lines to be 8 different shades of purple. /s

All jokes aside. This is sad. About 125k dead another 500k injured. What a waist.

    20. and 1 over 1 000 000 dead and disable peoples, ~8 mil immigrants, worst life level, lower than 3rd world African country….

How does it exactly work that the news keeps telling Ukraine is winning right now and Russia is losing, but on the maps this is not reflected at all?

    22. introvert_wolf79 on

We also need to take into consideration other factors outside of territorial gain.

Russia is playing a war of attrition against Ukaine, it’s bet is that Ukarine’s resources and manpower will deplete before theirs, which is very likely for obvious reasons. This could sadly lead to a Russian victory.

I don’t wish this, fuck Russia for invading a sovereign country, and I wish that Ukraine finds some way to win, but if the status quo remains the future looks bleak for Ukraine.
