I’m going to try something new, this is a little experiment, you’ll have to excuse me because this is something out of the ordinary. I’m going to post 10 screenshots of what’s going on while we turn our attention to the social media culture war. The first screenshots show the article in Berlingske about “móderne oligarki” or in Icelandic “modern oligarkí” and the news that the biggest companies have 400 billion in other companies. They have invested enormously in unrelated businesses such as banks, insurance companies, supermarkets, oil companies, real estate and import companies. A new report by the Institute of Economics and Alþingi only showed the tip of the iceberg, this is much bigger than they have invested in Iceland, the activity and investments in Iceland are much, much bigger, after the hunting fee was reduced enormously during the government of Sigmund Davíð and Bjarn Benediktsson in 2014. The article in the Danish newspaper describes Iceland as a corrupt oligarchy that eats democracy from the inside. It shows a direct line between the Independence Party and the SFS (Association of Companies in the Fishing Industry) and how the country’s big companies exercise so-called soft power in small and large municipalities abroad. My message with this is that huge amounts of money and political influence are moving into the hands of a few. The big business is hollowing out our democracy from the inside while the public bickers over smaller issues.
Next we see the news about the Center Party’s MAGA connections, Sigmund Davíð’s meetings with Republicans and connections with American influential people such as Nigel Farage and Charles Koch, and the Heritage foundation, as well as the fact that the Chairman of the Center Party has not updated his interest registration for a decade. My message there is that foreign capital, ideology and hidden classes are trying to shape the Icelandic political picture in the background.
Then there are the proposals of the Independence Party for tax cuts of 140 billion, which are to be financed by selling state assets for 680 billion, including Landsbankinn, Isavia, Landsnet and Rarik. Proposals are also to see that the welfare system and the social system will be hollowed out from the inside. The basic infrastructure of society, which we all own together, is on the sale list and it should be put into the hands of private parties, friends and family. Along with that, the property of the city dwellers should be sold quickly and cheaply, such as, for example, Ljósleiðarinn, which was created to keep the price down. In parallel with this, a bill to abolish the local health inspection is to be passed through the Althingi in the final days of the session. Professionals strongly warn against this. This may sound dry on the surface, but it has a huge impact on consumer protection, food safety and environmental issues in people’s immediate environment.
Finally, there is the news about the police firing a stun gun in Reykjanesbær at a man who had spilled gasoline on himself. This is a very strong and striking example of how quickly reality changes while we argue about current affairs on the Internet. The law enforcement in Iceland is undergoing major changes, with increased equipment and stun guns, which directly affect our safety and the social structure. If the police do not have to be responsible for this, where have we come and what example should be set here?
This is not an exhaustive list, but just what first popped into mind. But these are the issues that really matter for our future.

Þessir 400 milljarðar sem útgerðirnar fjárfestu eru að lang mestu leyti í erlendum félögum og sjóðum, sérstaklega í Bandaríkjunum.
Ættum við að vera hrædd við að þau séu að kaupa upp bandaríska eða þýska fyrirtækjamarkaðinn?
Ágætis samantekt og mikilvægt innlegg þegar fólk talar um tap á sjálfstæði þjóðar við inngöngu í ESB. Hvaða sjálfstæði er þetta? Getum við sem stendur tekið ákvörðun sem þjóð án þess að stórútgerðirnar gefi leyfi?
Já – rifrildið um “woke” er annar parturinn af “[brað og hringleikar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread_and_circuses)”. Þetta er samt ekkert nýtt bara ný umgjörð. Einusinni var þetta blár á móti grænum á móti rauðum á móti gulum og núna er þetta regnboginn á móti litarleysinu.
Ég er annars mjög leiður út í hóp fólks á vinstri væng sem af einhverri ástæðu fann sér tilgang í að taka þátt í umræðunni um “woke” frekar en að leggja það upp sem umræðu um hvort að sjálfsímyndarpólitík væri að byggja óþarfa veggi milli félaga sem annars gætu unnið saman. Þetta er *máské* sama umræðan (sýnist það samt aldrei – allavegna aldrei tekið nógu skýrt fram) en ein umgjörðin er sirkús, og hin er hugsanlega eitthvað til að ræða félaga á milli en aldrei til að gera lítið úr þörfum minnihlutahópa.
Hvað ertu að bulla? Það er mikil athygli búin að vera á þessum málum…

Enginn nennir að vera Davíð á móti Golíat. Sérstaklega núna þegar fréttirnar eru 24/7 um það að Davíð sé spilltur, hafi einusinni rifist við kærustu sína í sundi, hafi skilað spólurofar of seint 1997, hafi verið í “óviðeigandi” grímubúningi á öskudaginn 1994 og svo framvegis.
Hver nennir að takast á við ríkið, tvo flokka, her lögmanna, einkaspæjara, og heilt dagblað?
Sérstaklega þar sem þetta fólk hikar ekki við að eyðileggja mannorð fólks rða nota spilltar löggur gegn borgurunum.
Athyglin hefur ekki verið beint að menningarstríðinu á samfélagsmiðlum ( kaldhæðnin samt stórkostleg þar sem þú ert sjálfur að pósta þessu menningarstríði í póstinum ), athyglin hefur verið beint að nákvæmlega þessu sem þú ert að pósta. Magnað hvernig skrautlegustu kauðunum hérna finnst vera þörf á að beina athyglinni trekk í trekk á eitthvað sem flestum er sama um, já kvótafjölskyldur eiga mikið af eignum og mikinn pening…á maður að vera ógeðslega reiður og pirraður og helvítis fokking fokk? Það nenna fáir að velta sér uppúr þessu.
Einhver menningarstríðs dramatík frá Heimildinni um MAGA og Nigel Farage og Miðflokkinn er eitthvað sem öllum er sérstaklega drullusama um nema nokkrum rótæklingum og rugludöllum sem eru alltof invested í þessu kjaftæði.
