Hello,
Just found myself waiting for the traffic light on gimnazijo g., where it crosses šv. Gertrūdos g. (See picture) For several cycles without it ever turning green. I ended up turning around and back up the street, but other cars behind me went ahead as soon as I moved out of the way and, I think, crossed on red.
Was there a way to trigger the green light I missed or was the traffic light just broken?

That’s what you get for visiting Kaunas.
You can only turn right and the green arrow next to the red light means that you can turn even during red if it’s safe(Basically it’s a stop sign). I don’t know if it ever turns green, but you don’t need it to be green to go.
The blue sign is a mandatory direction sign, if you look closely the green arrow sign allows you to turn right when it is safe to do so
You were standing at extremely busy and sensitive intersection. Your entry is of the least importance there. It might be just a fact that you have to wait a really long time there. Or maybe traffic light sensors didn’t catch your car, idk.
Other cars might have went right because green arrow allows it even on red, but for a car to go straight on red is almost 0 chance in Lithuania, especially in this intersection.
edit: oh wait there is blue arrow so even on green you can’t go straight.
