Tighter immigration rules could tarnish Japan’s image, opposition lawmaker says

The only people who’d applaude for these new, strict laws are anti-immigrant people from inside Japan and especially outside of Japan among right-wingers.

I don’t understand the obsession with them wanting Japan to stay homogenous even though they don’t even live there. The same folks to comment that Japan shouldn’t be ruined like the West has is also such a surface level statement which I’m not even gonna get into.

But yeah, it depends to whom their image is considered getting “tarnished” cause others are applauding online.
