      If mediterranean sea lost atlantic connection It would dry drastically offering much more land.

      Not very practical or likely, but an interesting thought experiment nonetheless. I like the land bridge to Greenland. Would seem the Med doesn’t change much except Italy and Greece get a lot bigger.

      That’s like voronoi in places where the sea is less than 1000m deep? Now if you do it by 50m increments, you can have pretty different results, don’t you? Basically the divide would happen at the deepest location, which would be more realistic if you consider a gradual retreat of the waters, for whatever reason.

      If sea level decreased 1000 meters, the polar ice caps would be massive!

      For reference, sea level was ~125 meters below present levels during the Last Glacial Maximum around 21,000 years ago and the polar ice cap covered the British Isles, Scandanavia and the North Sea coastal areas of continental Europe.
