Arthur Ashe stadium should make the cut as a major venue.

I appreciate you including the women’s teams as well. I knew where almost all of the men’s teams played, but had no idea where the women played.
I also didn’t realize there were two NYC MLS teams.

How are the sports fandom divided up among the metro?
I assume most on Manhattan would be; Ranger, Yankees, Knicks, and I guess Jets fans?
LI would be; Islanders, Mets, Nets, and Giants.
Am I correct in my assumption?

Thank god you clarified that they are playing ICE hockey in these 20,000 seat arenas. If not for the crucial qualifier, my mind would have led me to the mistaken conclusion that they play field hockey in there.

Nobody who lives in a major North American hockey market calls it “Ice Hockey”.
It’s just hockey, dude.

Nice try.
The MLS doesn’t count.

The labeling is bad. Mostly just because it is a disorganized tangle.
Group and align blocks of text. Make leaders parallel.
We’re trying to make it easier to read not harder.
One of the things that happens when labeling like this they eye will grab similar things in a layer and can separate them out from other layers. Here the brightness helps create a layer of white stuff, but the mess of lines keeps distracting and begging for attention it doesn’t deserve. The lines are not important and should be “invisible” or disregardable. They only serve to connect text to location, they are not actual content.
