As much as I can’t stand the Tories, if I were to find out friends and family members had voted Tory.. Yeah, I’d think they have shithouse political taste and have spent the last 14 years in a giant hamster bubble, but overall it’d be a reaction of “okay, whatever, you do you.”
With Reform however, I’d genuinely think less of them.
That might sound harsh but its true. The rock has been lifted up, we’ve all seen the creepy crawlies, and if you still vote for them you know what you’re voting for at this point.

TBH, it would be a bigger story if there’s a Reform UK candidate who *hasn’t* made offensive remarks..

So many candidates and so many offenses that they have to share a headline now. Exactly as expected for a party of that quality

Reform is an astroturfed libertarian project trying desperately to pretend to be a popular mass movement. It did not attract the sort of socially conservative community pillar type person who does the charities and church fund raisers and just wants a more primal free market party than the Tories offer. It attracted the usual odd ball cranks with odd ball politics who think they are the silent majority over their pet issues. This will also be the problem on any left wing parties being started AKA Wokers Party.
Its trying to astroturf a grass roots and is simply hoovering up the nuts.

Why is it always Reform? Surely other parties have shitty people too that have said problematic things in the past.
Not trying to support Reform here but it seems odd to say the least.

The election has gone for the Tories, but they can at least salvage some pride and a future for themselves by absolutely throwing everything they have at Farage Ltd over the next couple of weeks.
Arron Banks’s MI5 file being “accidentally” left on a train would be a good start.
Wheeling “Boris” off the beach to Kyiv would be another.

“Offence archeology” is what Reform officially calls this kind of analysis. For the rest of us, it’s called ‘exposing cunts for being cunts’.

Like it will harm their chances though. Those voting for them either agree with such sentiments, or are so desperate to get rid of immigrants that they will happily overlook such comments.

Reform supporters won’t change their vote, they will do mental gymnastics to convince themselves and others it’s not bad, in fact it’s good! These are the people who genuinely don’t see an issue with losing their rights.

Even my Aunt, who usually votes Labour and was concerned about my right wing views just 5 years ago said last night ‘I’m voting reform as Farage is the only one who is saying things I agree with’ . I was so proud, then both my Labour voting parents said they are voting Reform this time as they cannot stand Kier Starmer. Friends tell me no way can they vote Labour with Starmer, so it’s reform for them too.
Support is strong despite the smear campaign by the BBC.

It’s not shocking. They are what happened to the bnp.

I’m not going to vote reform, but I think the appeal is 90% due to illegal immigration.. they want to “opt off” out of the human rights European committee, ( not sure of its official name) to end the boats coming here. Which is stopping Rwanda.
The amount of media coverage the boats get is so huge.. it’s consistent everyday, and it’s also causing racism.
My worry is under labour it won’t stop it will become much worse and tensions will rise as more and more refugee hotels pop up, I want to live in a peaceful country.
Also to add, I live next to a refugee hotel and it’s not great.. I’m a female and one of them followed me one night. It’s probably fine if your guy though. They won’t stare at you. Most are fine, it’s just some that are a bit crazy.

If the conservatives actually enacted the immigration policy they have been promising for the last 14 years then reform wouldn’t even be a footnote on the political landscape.
Something else we can blame the tories for.
