      It seems the establishment is working overtime to discredit Sanae (not like she’s in the least worthy to be Prime Minister, don’t get me wrong)

      But it’s definitely not like this stuff wasn’t happening under Abe or Kishida or Ishiba either….

      I am not sure whether my reading comprehension or the wording is bad, but this reads like “they did a bad job at covering up the sex scandals”

      During Abe they literally went around Soaplands during covid when these establishments were meant to be closed, so nothing new. The LDP is a bottomless coult of corruption and sexist old man.

      You can’t trust everything portrayed on TV, but when almost every single political drama in Japan is all about “the government is a bunch of corrupted, incompetent bureaucrats who takes money from the people and spend it on food and sex”, I think you have a major problem.
