Hello! for some reason on my for you page I keep seeing mentions of a exam in Spain im assuming and they act like it’s life altering if they get lower than they expect. Basically the videos just shows them predicting their score but like what does it all mean? does the exam get the average of these scores or something. Haha idk i just went down a rabbit hole and i’m dying of curiosity of what this exam could be for.

University access exams. Basically the highest you get on all of them the easier you will get a place on a degree you want, since the people with a higher grade from everyone who chose the degree will get in first until all the places are taken

    2. That’s basically an exam that all people must do in order to access an university (no Mather if it’s public or private). From the results of that exam they grab the X best results among the people that apply for the specific bachelor degree and accept them. To put in perspective, the most demanding degrees have a >13 minimum mean (some subjects are optional because they are accounted as extra points in some degrees)

That exam is the evau, it is done in 2° BACH (17-18 yrs). It’s certainly lifechanging because it depends on the grade you get to be accepted in a career so thats why people is so worried about it. Its not mandatory btw but its neccesary for like “high skilled job”.

Just as a couriosity my sister had it this year and was really pissed because in the maths part of it there were content they didnt even know it would be, she told me even the teacher had problems solving it (lol) so as a result many people failed maths.

Also it has some controversy bc in some places of Spain like for example Murcia its easier than in others like Madrid, making it really unfair as Murcians have it easier than students from Madrid to get a certain job
