    1. “I will be president for only a couple more weeks, and then I will resign,” Vucic told throngs of his supporters at a pro-government rally in the capital, Belgrade. Vucic’s second and final mandate was due to expire in mid-2027.
Vucic said he would help his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) win the presidential election and the early parliamentary vote, also originally set for 2027.
“My proposal is for our list, the winning list in the upcoming elections, to be named ‘United Serbia’.”

Vucic is highly likely to still be the prime ministerial candidate of the ruling SNS, which will face the Student list in the upcoming autumns parliamentary election. He announced this on a pro government rally held in Belgrade yesterday, which was according to independent sources attended by 32.000 people-one of the poorest showings of the ruling SNS(they usually manage to gather 50-60k people), and 10 times less than the biggest student protest in Belgrade(325.000).

    2. Wow, I knew he was under a lot of pressure, but I guess I was kinda cynical about the prospect of him ever actually relinquishing power.

I wonder what comes next for Serbia.

    3. Spoiler alert: he won’t.

Edit: and if he does, he will immediately become a PM.

    4. Let’s tally up the numbers:

-Russia’s getting its ass kicked by Ukraine to kingdom come and back

      -Orban down

      -Vucic down (soon hopefully)

      -Fico next?

It seems that the spring cleanup is beginning to show results.

Will this spell the end of Redditors complaining about him & the country? Only time will tell.
