A Russian agent that is attempting to introduce a British position that is sympathetic to Putin’s Russian, like Le Pen in France.

I thought they were supposed to be about sovereignty and all that…

He isn’t backing Putin. Provoke is not the same word as justify. Putin was provoked by NATO, that fine to say, to say NATO expansion justified the war is another thing entirely.

Reform, Le Pen, Afd, etc same Putin loving trash that needs to be removed from political life.

Washington did provoke Russia, it also meddled in Ukraine and Russia didn’t help Trump become president of the USA. Farage is just stating a fact, it doesn’t mean he’s a Russian agent.

He wasn’t lying for stating that NATO and the EU extending their range is provoking Russia?

Yet when Corbin said let’s wait for the enquiry results over the Russians assassinations on UK soil he was called a communist sympathiser and an appeaser 🤷♂️

Boris Johnson attacked Farage in the Mail at the weekend and called him a Putin stooge. And yet the same Boris Johnson said a few years ago that the EU provoked Russia into attacking Ukraine. That seems to have been brushed under the carpet, with Johnson now reinventing himself as Churchill.
Didn’t he just say that Putin was provoked ? I may be wrong as I don’t watch every minute of politics.
Ok it if this is true then I would say he is correct. The world was aware of the conductions he had for him not to invade Ukraine and they went ahead of tried to get it in EU. One of many reasons I suppose but why poke the bear so to speak.
Let’s us say for what it is. Someone has had pockets being lined since 2001 with wars and conflict going back to 9/11 and didn’t want it to stop and they have leaders of this world as their puppets.
War is all these fucking old people know.
If someone comes along and wants to try and de-escalate things. They will need to be neutral and understand from both perspectives.

“Backing Putin” can we and the media for once not take anything completely out of context to fit a narrative. He’s condemned Putin and the invasion multiple times so why not actually debate what he said about NATO expansion

Typical lefty cancel culture. Say anything that goes against the agenda even if its factual and you will be slandered.

The cognitive dissonance in this sub is unreal. No room for context or nuance. Keep lapping up those headlines without listening for yourself what farage actually said.

But is Reform UK the only party that Putin is backing?

> backing Putin
> Farage: “[Russia’s] invasion of Ukraine was immoral, outrageous and indefensible. As a champion of national sovereignty, I believe that Putin was entirely wrong to invade the sovereign nation of Ukraine”
I wish people could have some semblance of nuance rather than just jumping on slogans

Something that makes me happy is when I think about how I’m quite a bit younger than Nigel Farage and so some day he will be irrelevant and I will never have to read or hear about him ever again 🙂

I am not a fan of Farage for many reasons, and I am not even British, but even I know that he has never expressed support for Russia. A simple google enabled me to read that he’s condemned Putin’s actions many times. A lot of the people in this sub see a headline and blindly accept it as truth. Many in my birth country think the British are missing a few brain cells, and a lot of you commenters more than support this theory…

i mean isnt the NATO expansion related too Russian aggression to begin with ? seems silly to not expand just to appease russia, i understand he didnt say hes backing him he condemned the war, but to say the expansion caused the war is stupid, the whole point is to defend against russian incursions as they tend to do so around different countries in the world

Ah the smear campaigns are starting lol. I hate reform as much as the next guy, but seriously, all this “news” is getting out of hand.

I live in an area which is rather special, rather wealthy area, clean and quiet, traditional uk look.
Over the last year we have had a good few immigrant family’s move in, some real lovely people who are glad to be in the uk and want to integrate and be part of the community.
What has also happened is a sudden rise of sexual assaults, stealing, crime and lack of care for the environment or people’s property. The people who have been arrested in connection with these things are immigrants.
Before a few years ago, these kind of things were extremely rare where I lived and almost unheard of.
I like to think that I am as accepting and open minded as they come, but when change is on your door step and a threat to your way of life becomes a reality for yourself, you think a little differently.
Especially now, I worry about my kids going to the park alone since a gang of 20 something year old immigrant men were apprehended for trying to kiss some little girls.

He’s not supporting Putin, but what he is doing is offering a statement which is true to potentially explain why Russia isn’t happy. NATO has expanded when it was understood to have said to Russia that it would not.
