This is the Romania we live in… A 17-year-old child died on a bridge that should have been safe.
A 17-year-old teenager, from Bilca commune, lost his life after falling from the pedestrian bridge over the Suceava river, which connects the villages of Vicovu de Jos and Bilca.
According to the police, the boy was returning home by bicycle at night. In the area where several deck boards were missing, he fell from about 7 meters into a pit of water. He was found dead around 3:30 a.m. after a woman spotted the fallen bike and alerted authorities.
And now, after this tragedy, a tree and a warning sign have been installed at that place. That’s it.
The question every man asks himself is: why did he intervene only after a young man lost his life? Was it necessary for a 17-year-old child to die for the danger to be signaled or the bridge to be repaired?
No family should have to go through such pain. And no deck used by people every day should be in a state where a moment of inattention or a few missing planks means a death sentence.

si astia, au pus semn dar nu au reparat nimic, mai degraba foloseau semnul ala ca scandura
Ce repede s-au miscat autoritatile. Si daca vii noaptea cum vezi semnul si scandura aia?
Daca mai gaseau doua scanduri + semnu ala, reparau toata gaura.
Mereu m am intrebat de ce dracu nu se reabiliteaza podurile astea din zonele rurale,efectiv cred ca am vazut zeci de poduri la fel ca asta
Pentru mai mult de o scândură este nevoie de studiu de fezabilitate.

au semnalat doar podul ala? mai sunt multe alte poduri peste suceava cu scanduri lipsa si subrede
Pe astfel de poduri traversam eu garla la tara la bunici si paseam ca draci de incepeau sa faca valuri.
Btw, podurile de genul asta duc la cateva case izolate sau gradini. Nu stiu cine le intretine… probabil localnicii si primaria.
Frate, n-are nimeni 50 de lei sa cumpere niste scanduri sa repare? Pe bune?
De fapt, daca pun scanduri noi sigur se fura. Astia ar fi in stare sa fure si cablurile de curent cu curent pe ele.
