Tool: Python (matplotlib). The bit that surprised me: Norway has the most EVs per person anywhere, yet a home charge there is cheaper than in the US, UK or Germany. These are standard home rates, so anyone on a night or EV tariff pays less. Hey so I live in Denmark and I drive electric for the most part.
My energy bill actually becomes smaller the more I charge.
We have solarpanels on the roof and a charging box through our electricity provider.
For every kWh I charge I get refunded even when charging with the electricity produced by the solar panels.
Just to put it into perspective:
We pay 49 DKK subscription each month but the energy bill last month was only 32 DKK, which means that electricity put into the car from the solarpanels actually removed so much that even the subscription is lower.

I’d also be curious to see the same graph for public charging. It might be quite difficult to compile though, the charges are generally kept secret until you start charging, presumably because they are so high and providers don’t want to compete on price. The market in public fueling is far healthier and more functional.

Literally nobody doing decent mileage in an EV has a standard home rate tariff in Ireland. Your data completely misrepresents the cost of driving an EV. My parents pay €1.02 per 100km and I pay €1.53.
I just divided 7.57 by 17. No company in Ireland is charging 44.53c per kWh for 24 hour standard rate electricity. Is the point of your graph to make Ireland look bad or EVs?

The cost for Sweden can be very different depending on where in Sweden you live.
Today the lowest cost through out Sweden is about $0.02/kwh.
But during peak cost in southern parts of Sweden is $0.12/kwh
So filling a 60kwh battery would cost around $1.20

The source data is incorrect. Canada for example, no one would ever actually pay that price per kwh. It might be that low to start, but all the fees, surcharges and taxes on top will more than double-triple what is listed.

Silly article, it isn’t showing EV costs, it is just peak electricity cost.
Very few people charge their cars at peak rate at home.

The UK one is a bit misleading. Our electricity prices are extremely high but most companies offer a much cheaper off-peak rate that I’m sure most EV owners use.
For example I pay circa £0.30/kWh during the day and £0.068 for six hours overnight. I do all my charging during this window so I’d be far lower down the list!

This table is shit and include theoretical energy price without transmission fees – rate in Poland is $0.31/kWh at G11 plan, slightly less in G12 (lower price at night).
$0.62/kWh at a fast charger down the street

Live in Sweden. Have never payed that much for electricity for charging. Never. My i paied 0.70kr per kwh plus taxes etc it’s about 2kr maximum counting in everything. Usual total price for rhe car is like 1.4kr total 😅 and i live at the southern part where the prices are highest in the country
