    1. It probably should be a % of the global production of oil.

      (I’d imagine) We know produce much more oil than 50 years ago so it’s hard to compare this crisis to one on the 70s

      Does lost mean 1B barrels of oil in the bottom of the ocean? Burned to a crisp? Or simply “not produced”? Big difference imo

    5. I don’t think a Green Party president (if such a thing were conceivable in the US) could have more success in reducing global carbon consumption.

      Please note that we have not felt the pain of this yet because China has been using its substantial reserves since the Straight closure.
