[OC] I spent way too many hours making a highly detailed custom topographic map of the Richat Structure (the Eye of the Sahara) in Mauritania. No idea why—I just got completely sucked into it. I even ended up digging through old CIA archives for historical place names. Turns out that was super fun!

    1. I don’t read or speak Arabic so I don’t really have a say about that but…the topographic info is beautiful. My favorite kind of map.

Surely this area is replete with archeological artifacts worthy of a lost civilization? Right?…

Beautiful. Can you go a bit into detail how you created this? Would love to hear about it.

As a Dune fan, this is super cool stuff. If you like Dune, I highly encourage you to make a map of the Northern Hemisphere of Arrakis.

      Downloadable?
      Do you have a bibliography?
Sorry if repeat questions, no time to read

    6. That would be super cool to give us an Imgur link for us to see it in all its detail. Reddit doesn’t do it justice.

Wow, I had no idea this place existed. Was it created by a meteor or a natural geological formation?
