So I smoke, but have normal blood pressure and no diabetes, does that mean my life will only be cut short 4 years?

Dementia isn’t only about diet, it’s about forgetting. Talk to many of people suffering from dementia and see…there is something they want to desperately forget

I wonder how pregnancy induced hypertension factors into this. I never had high BP in my life until it skyrocketed postpartum and I had to be double medicated to barely keep it under control for several weeks after. Maybe just another way pregnancy can have long term impacts on the body, interesting.

It also may not and climate change is going to decimate the population within the next 20-30 years, so do what you want.

My mom never smoked, never had diabetes, and only developed blood pressure concerns after being diagnosed with dementia in her mid 60s. Don’t count on it.

If you use medication to keep blood pressure in check does that still count?

Well, just gotta stop having Diabetes I guess. Woo.

My mom did none of those things and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 70.
