Wonder how many criminology students would have became a decent plumber/plasterer if it wasn’t desecrated as such a poor career path

Jobs slowdown? Isn’t the economy going gangbusters according to the outgoing PM?

Why would any corporation want train up a young domestic worker when you can import a mid career worker from abroad for 30% below market rate?
This is a direct and deliberate consequence of Tory immigration policy.

Stopping graduate visas for international students could help out native Brits a bit, no one would be in a rush to do that of course.

Luckily the incoming PM is going to “grow the economy” – he hasn’t said how he’s going to do this, or how growing the economy is actually going to help in any meaningful way, but one can only assume he has a plan and isn’t just tossing around meaningless buzzwords

Im graduating in July, I did a STEM degree and theres literally nothing, the moment I did my final exam I started to look at the jobs, and its so dry its making the Sahara look like a wetland. Before I applied for the degree there was a bunch of jobs in the field which is why I did the degree, even last year there were loads of jobs.
But the job market across the nation is fucked, keep hearing about people who are extremely skilled with years of experience and they’re struggling to find anything.
