India and the United States (US) will collaborate to expand the space economy and join the Moon Base programme, US Ambassador Sergio Gor announced on Monday, while inviting Indian startups to explore opportunities within the American market.

India has set a target of launching up to 300 more satellites from 56 now in the next seven years, and plans to land its first astronauts on the Moon by the year 2040.

India and America combo kinda unstoppable when it comes to space. That’s one good decision by two mid governments.

Lots of salty racists below my comment though.

EDIT: This only applies to the blatant racist trolls not the other commenters.

    2. Cool, and potentially a great leap in technology.. … but how does this expand the space economy, the moon would have no exports other than perhaps regolith, ya?

    3. Yes! A global coalition of liberal countries for space. We want a solar system free of censorship!

    4. I don’t believe the current US administration to be capable of partnerships. This may be a way for the US to interfere in India’s indigenous research and privatise it. I’m not sure how it helps India, but it will definitely benefit the US.

    5. Good thing they didn’t join China/Russia side. Great news. I actually thought they already partered up with NASA a while back though.

I swear if countries join forces to go for space exploration and building instead of stupid wars, it would just be so good and………fantastic

Trump will soon change the name from India to American India. See what I did there?

    8. Make sure to get that agreement in something durable. Like runes chiseled into a rock or something.

Honestly, India should’ve partnered with Russia on this. Easier tech transfer between the two countries. US just doesn’t want India to partner with China, so it is using carrots to make it move forward, will it ever concede the carrot at any point? By the looks of it, no. US’s own allies don’t trust it with all this anymore.
