Brussels has more than fifty comic-strip walls on its Comic Book Route and around a hundred catalogued works on its Street Art Trail. Ghent has Werregarenstraatan alley where spraying is legal and the walls change weekly.
But there is much more than that.
Share a photo of the strangest, funniest or most unexpected piece of street art you’ve found in Belgium. Murals, painted doors and shutters, mosaics, paste-ups, tiny figures perched on a cornice If it’s art in public space and it made you go "…why?".

I saw hent@i on a wall in Brussels
Somewhere in the vicinity of Rotselaar at an underpass. While you decent you only see the monster waiting for you at the wall you’re almost riding into. Only when you are at the bottom you can see the text left to it. It’s not a dedicated mural artist at work here but it made me chuckle because it uses the dynamic of it’s location so well.

It’s not street art as in paintings but in Rue de la post there is a art deco house with a monkey painted on it.
There was this huge caricature-like sculpture of a boy, bare-naked, right next to the highway.
Not really streetart, but on a bridge over the E34 years ago, someone wrote in big letters: “Dirk, ik worztel met de karpel” and it has weirded me out everytime i pass under it.
