Hello Luxembourgers,
My partner and I had an electrician come over a few weeks ago to install a new outdoor electrical socket, and a camera doorbell (which we provided).
All the work that was done is detailed in the images I’ve included of our itemized invoice. (Names and places have been redacted)
The bill was steeper than expected and now we’re wondering if this is a reasonable price, we also have our doubts about the büro and lager charges.
What do you think, is this excessively expensive? Are the büro and lager charges fair?
Would it be unreasonable for us to ask the electrician to drop the büro and lager charges?

Everything seems to make sense, but generally you can’t help but wonder why almost all repair work ends up at €1000
I mean, this is higher than the day rate of a BDO tax consultant

How long did they work on it? My experience is that they usually charge in a way that they make about 1000€ per full working day per qualified electrician. If they send two, then have a day for 1000€. If they send a electrician and someone who still learns it‘s like 1000€ for 6H. The way they structure the bill often just seems random and doesn‘t make sense. It was every time the same for me.
It it cheap? No
Is it excessive? Not really
I know other companies that ask 200 € just for moving their Van to your location which these don’t seem to have (9.75€ Transportanteil?)
You just called them up without any pricing info beforehand?
Many car shops have hourly rates higher than “Mesterstund + Gesellenstunde” in your example, so I’d be OK with it.
